Jaw-Hwa International Patent & Trademark & Law Offices ("Jaw-Hwa"), values each client’s rights to the protection of his/her privacy and personal data (the "Data"). So, we ask you to read carefully the following Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy (the "Policy"):

1.Scope of Data Collection
Jaw-Hwa will collect, process and use the Data provided by client for the purpose of providing patent, trademark and legal services, legal updates and activity notifications, and business promotion. Such Data may include individuals' names, company names, departments, professional titles, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, postal addresses and other personal information for the representation. The client may choose not to provide us with the aforesaid Data but should understand that this might affect Jaw-Hwa's capability and efficiency to provide legal services or file applications.

2.Process and Use
Jaw-Hwa and its appointed attorneys, within the scope of the aforesaid purposes, will use the Data in the country or territory where Jaw-Hwa or its appointed attorneys are located. Jaw-Hwa will keep the collected Data unless the client has other instructions to the Data.
Jaw-Hwa and its appointed attorneys may contact the client through non-encrypted e-mails for providing the client with its legal updates, intellectual property news, or information of cases (If the client disagrees with the aforesaid way of contact, Jaw-Hwa will stop providing the client with the aforementioned information upon the client’s written notification).

3.Client's Relevant Rights
The client may request to check, inspect or duplicate the relevant Data collected by Jaw-Hwa through the contact information as shown below.
The client may request Jaw-Hwa to supplement, modify, cease to collect, process, use, or delete his/her personal information according to the Personal Data Protection Act.
The client is requested to contact Jaw-Hwa in the manner for checking, inspection and or reproduction of his/her Data at the client's own costs.

4.Amendments to this Policy
Jaw-Hwa will update this Policy from time to time on Jaw-Hwa's website.
